Vintage Les Paul Guitars

Vintage Les Paul guitars and vintage guitar amps. Who knew how much those Fender guitars and amps and Gibson guitars would be $ worth back then? Being a guitar player and drummer in the 60’s was an experience only appreciated by musicians who were there. Remember what it was like wishing you could save enough money to buy your first good guitar. Back then your parents were not going to buy it for you or lend you the money- no way. The only way to get the guitar, amp, or drumset you wanted was by purely working and earning the money for it. And the # 1 rule was to never reveal the true price of the instrument to your parents- because afterall you worked for the money to pay for it and it was yours, a true teenager musician learns fast that feeling of money in your pocket to musician broke! Any how, my point is is that we never dreamed that those Fender guitars, Gibson guitars, bass guitars, keyboards and drums could probably be the best investment of our life and we could have put our parents to shame if we held on to all the instruments we owned in our lifetime. Back then the word vintage only meant it was something you didn’t want because it was probably your fathers old guitar with 3 nylon strings stored in your grandmothers attic or basement. Ahh the fun of learning to play guitar or drums--- could you imagine today that if your son or daughter wanted to play guitar or drums and you bought them a pair of drumsticks and said , “ here I bought you a pair of drumsticks to learn to play the drums, just beat the sticks on a wood block with rubber pad on top and we will see how good you are a musician”. Or could you imagine your child asking for music lessons to learn rap music--- I don’t think so.
